How many steps should you take a day?
It is not 10,000 for everyone. The right goal depends on your age and where you are starting from.

In the app, these numbers adjust by themselves with your weigh-ins and come with your training week.
How it is calculated
The goal starts from how much you move now: 5,000 steps if you hardly move, 7,000 if you move now and then, and 8,500 if you are consistent. If you want to lose fat, 1,000 are added.
From age 60 the goal does not go above 7,000, because that is where studies place the greatest benefit for that age. Under 60, the plateau is between 8,000 and 10,000.
The minutes are what you would need to walk on top of a normal day's comings and goings, at roughly 1,000 steps every ten minutes.
